Farming

Our fields

The yard, where everything begins

At the edge of the village of Terradelles we have the yard, home to a herd of Murciano-Granadina goats with an intense mahogany-black colour. Raised at home and fed on organic forage produced on our fields, our goats embody our approach to farming: proximity, animal welfare and quality over quantity.

From this rich, characterful milk come all our cheeses, which carry the essence of the territory and the care we take day after day.

Our goats

We have a herd of around 300 Murciano-Granadina does, a breed prized for the quality of its milk — ideal for cheesemaking. Females are born here in the yard and receive constant care: homegrown, respectful feed, outdoor yards and an extensive grazing area we are developing.

Llorenç, Eloi and Antonio, supported by a veterinarian, look after their welfare with regular health checks and monitoring of births. Our philosophy is clear: produce little milk, but of the highest possible quality.

The fields around Mas Alba, certified for organic production, supply the feed that nourishes the herd. The day in the yard begins at six in the morning with milking — a process we do only once a day to respect the animals’ natural rhythm. Kids suckle their mothers for three months and each goat enjoys rest periods between lactations.

Herd management combines traditional knowledge with specialised veterinary oversight. Genetic improvement is done naturally, without artificial insemination, and monthly milk tests select the best future mothers.
