Our family

Mas Alba has always been our home, and Terradelles — a small village in the Pla de l’Estany with around 100 inhabitants — is our land. The project was born from a desire to project rural life outwards and open it to the world: a living farmhouse where past and present coexist. With connection and deep respect for our surroundings, we have gradually grown Mas Alba.

We are Anna, Llorenç and Martí — three siblings who chose to stay at the family home and reinvent ourselves. Everything started from our everyday experience and a wish to share it.

The farmhouse’s history goes back to the 1300s, when our ancestors were already working the land. We took over the house more than 30 years ago when our grandfather left us fields, a flock of sheep and a huge house that we realised we could open to visitors, share and turn into rural tourism. This is where the story of Mas Alba begins.

A project that grows from its roots

Everything at Mas Alba has grown organically, step by step, without ever losing its essence. The first pillar was the herd, cared for with affection and respect for the natural cycle. From this base, we decided to open the family home as an agritourism accommodation, welcoming people who want to live a rural experience up close, connected to nature and farm life. Finally, the dairy was established as a way to add value to the milk produced by the herd. 

Each branch of the project links to the others and together they form a single story: living and sharing a way of doing things that is rooted in the land.

Our philosophy

At Mas Alba we do not simply offer rural tourism: we live it every day and invite people to share it with us. We want every stay to be an authentic, honest and simple rural experience, full of meaning. 

That means: getting to know the daily life of a farming family, tasting the products from our artisanal dairy, and sharing moments around a communal table. We open our home to welcome diverse stories and people, always with respect and closeness.

The family that brings Mas Alba to life

Mas Alba is, above all, a family project. Each member contributes their perspective and energy, nurturing this place with passion and connection. Meet us:

The heart of the agritourism. She welcomes guests, coordinates stays, cooks and tends to visitors, making everyone feel at home. She also organises cheese tasting stays and maintains the visitor relationship.

The master cheesemaker. Almost twenty years ago he drove the creation of our artisanal dairy and still produces the cheeses and leads visits explaining the process.

The man of the land. He knows every corner of the fields and every animal in the yard. He also represents Mas Alba at the Mercat del Lleó in Girona, where he runs a stall featuring products from small local producers.

Indispensable in the yard. Together with his father Llorenç he looks after the daily needs of the yard and the animals’ welfare.

The yard’s ally. Antonio takes care of daily tasks with the herd, ensuring the goats are well looked after and the yard is in order.

The numbers and accounts. Martí’s son, currently supporting administrative management as part of his training placement, ensuring continuity and succession.

Mas Alba’s guide. Anna’s daughter Mala brings the story of Mas Alba and its people to life during visits. She will accompany you to the yard, the dairy and the tasting.
